The nursing staff, when I was an inpatient, were great.
However, having visited the outpatients several times I found the reception staff appeared a little chaotic with a slightly autocratic tone when dealing with patients. Staff should lower the level of the voices when talking to each other - patients don't need to know if there is an internal problem.

This was the second time I have had surgery at BMI Blackheath, and although we were in the middle of the COVID pandemic, everything went smoothly. Highly recommend.

The facility was clean and organised, with lots of due care being taken around the current situation. The talking temperature taking machine at reception I found to be endlessly amusing in the short time I was waiting there.
There was a minor issue in that I didn't receive some of the details explaining my exact procedure before attending, however as the Surgeon had already explained it well it was not so much of a problem, and once raised it was sent quickly.
The room was very nice (overnight stay) and the facilities clean and modern. Staff were efficient and friendly, just as you'd hope.

I undertook an operation to repair my shoulder last year, and have only good things to say about the BMI Blackheath. From the care I received in the Imaging department, to the surgery in Theatres, as well as the great care from the ward staff and Surgeon, and the physio department.
